TECNO is preparing to launch a new smartphone in the Philippines that could attract buyers looking for a thin phone without giving up battery capacity. The TECNO CAMON Slim 5G is set to arrive on October 1, 2026, bringing a 6.39mm-thin body, a large 6,000mAh battery and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display.
The combination is what makes this phone interesting. Slim smartphones often require compromises in battery size, but TECNO is attempting to balance both features in one device.
A Surprisingly Thin Phone With a Big Battery
At just 6.39mm thick, the CAMON Slim 5G is designed to feel noticeably slimmer than many conventional smartphones. Despite that profile, TECNO has managed to include a 6,000mAh battery.
For everyday users, the larger battery could matter more than simply having a thinner phone. Streaming videos, browsing social media, using navigation and taking photos can quickly drain a smartphone, so additional battery capacity can provide more flexibility during the day.
The phone also weighs around 190 grams, according to early reports.
144Hz AMOLED Display
The CAMON Slim 5G features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
A high refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations appear smoother, particularly when moving through social-media feeds or compatible games. The AMOLED panel should also provide the contrast and deeper blacks users generally expect from this type of display.
TECNO is also promoting wet-touch support, which is intended to keep the screen responsive when the display or user’s fingers are wet.
Sony Camera Sensor
Photography is another important part of the CAMON Slim 5G.
The phone reportedly uses a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main camera with optical image stabilization. It is paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera, while a 32MP camera handles selfies.
Optical stabilization can be useful when shooting handheld photos or video because it helps reduce the effect of small movements. TECNO is also adding AI-based photography features aimed at improving everyday shots.
One unusual accessory is the TECNO MagBadge, which can provide a small display and remote camera-control functionality for taking photos with the rear cameras.

Dimensity 7300e and 5G
Powering the phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300e 5G chipset. A reported configuration includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, although configurations may vary by market.
The hardware is positioned for everyday multitasking, entertainment, photography and 5G connectivity rather than competing directly with the most powerful flagship processors.
The phone is also expected to run Android 16.
Durability Is Part of the Package
Despite its slim construction, TECNO is emphasizing durability. The CAMON Slim 5G is reported to offer multiple levels of dust and water protection, including IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings.
That combination could make the device interesting for people who want a thin smartphone without feeling they have to sacrifice protection.

TECNO is expected to officially launch the CAMON Slim 5G in the Philippines on October 1, 2026. The local price has not been officially confirmed yet.
